As “key workers”, many of us are being asked to put ourselves in harms way through the jobs that we do. This though doesn’t effect your rights within your workplace and UNISON have been at the forefront since the beginning of this Convid-19 outbreak seeking to further protect you and your rights. In what is now unprecedented times, with information and expectations of us changing on a daily basis, UNISON are continuing to update its guidance to its members in accordance to the information and guidance being provided by the Government and key advisors.
Information in relation to your rights can be found on the UNISON website by visiting this link: Coronavirus Rights at Work (please note that this link will open in a new browser window or tab).
We are living in very uncertain times BUT if we ALL do what is being asked of us right now and do all we can to remain safe it is my hope that this virus will do the least harm.
While the Branch office is currently closed, we are working remotely to ensure that we can still service our member enquiries. Contacting us has changed but you can still call our Branch number (029 20 228933) and leave us a message. A member of the Branch will then call you back. The easiest way to contact the Branch during this outbreak is to email us at email@example.com.
Please note that UNISON Direct have temporarily moved its support for members online and can be accessed by visiting UNISON Direct, where your information will taken and then passed onto the Branch.
We have also introduced an online case referral form which can be accessed here: Case Referral.
It goes without saying that we are all in this together. Please do what you can to stay and remain safe and if you have any enquiries please don’t hesitate to get in-tough.
Sincerely, Pat Jones.
Ymlaen/Forward UNISON Branch Secretary.
